The Jewelry Box

The Jewelry Box

There’s a hidden box in the secret garden,

Filled with many kind of jewels.

                                    Different men are different jewels.

And their lovestruck eyes are filled with mischief,

Made with rubies from the God of Mischief,

Thus, their lust becomes the shape of a fox.

But then longing and jealousy wounds the lonely fox.

So the jewels can’t run through heavenly grounds,

They belong in the fox’s sinful stomping grounds.

They are coated with poison only I can touch.

In ecstasy filled nights, they relish in said touch,

Making our saudade turn into a colorful peacock.

Then the jewels outshine the bright feathers of the peacock.

And the insatiable greed is fulfilled with just the jewelry box.
